The Women on Stage Festival is an annual event that showcases art produced and led by women. Its goal is to provide a creative mosaic about important current affairs as seen through the female eye.
Aiming to favor a more feminine way of being and living in this world, and giving artists a chance to meet their audience and get to know each other, the festival provides a cozy space to socialize with comfortable facilities, a stage for small shows, female DJs and pocket shows (short performances), in addition to a cafeteria and a market featuring second-hand clothes and handicrafts.
All festival activities are free of charge except for after 9pm shows, when tickets are distributed against a pack of female sanitary napkins. These supplies are donated to women's care institutions of the Federal District.
